I am really enjoying the detail to this game. The art is great. There is a lot to learn before you get the hang of it, but I am enjoying that aspect of it and there are lots of guides online to help out. If you like a combo of building,strategy and PVP games give it a try.
Cool game, but impossible to play since last up date...
Same error from iPad and iPhone...
I have played this game since it was in closed beta. Of course it was in beta but, this game has come a long way. I dont think that it should have been branded in this franchise since it only hosts the races in it and nothing with the main characters. The lack of backstory sort of kills the vibe of the game but all in all it has a better layout than clash of clans and the like.
Not only is it a tad bit competitive but it also is a bit repetitive. I hope that their new game engine isnt as "advanced" as this one because it doesnt really show off any graphics enhancements or upgrades, but it does show how versatile their engine is.
I hope they continue the Galaxy on Fire series and this game. It does earn its keep of unique game experience and it is an addicting play. I would suggest it and I award this game 4 out of 5 stars.
Awesome game, but after the last update I cant log in. And theres stuff like Hijack or Set Bypass. Like WTF?
I began playing this game when it was a closed beta. Learning that although based on the exiting GOF it was much more of a strategy game with far less action, I thought what will this game offer? As it finished its beta test and was released to the general public we were flooded with newcomers and it got a little busy in the nebula. Now with multiple times the amount of players on three servers its level of intrigue, the community of players and the improvements made in the game, it has become a very enjoyable game of strategy, cooperation and bloodthirsty battles. Theres something for everyone...
An always protected home base, ghosting your planets, and being in a non-belligerent alliance allows you to play this game without investing big $$$$. One purchase you should make is the double credits for $1.99, but thats it.
Some bad moments
That is how I describe my experience with this company in how they have treated an award winning product and a devoted fan base. Utterly shameful.
That 1st paragraph is from my original review. Since then there has been little-to-no improvement. The bugs experienced in the past 3 years are still present. Carriers still get stuck, battles split up, spying makes the game crash, not all build confirmations or starts work properly and bullying, insults and profanity are rampant in the global chat with no real enforcement of FLs own code of conduct.
Support? What support! Though I still submit tickets to report these bugs I have yet to get any response from FL other that the usual form letter email.
This is the worst software app I have ever experienced.

A great sci-fi spin on a familiar mid-core concept which ultimately suffers from information overload on a $hitload of screens.
I wanted to enjoy the game but the mediocre UX is a showstopper. Needs a serious overhaul in the ways all information is structured and presented.
Seriously when I thought you couldnt make it worse, we see the planet registry thing. Its like here are all my planets come and destroy me, the game just lost its purpose. Thanks a lot for nothing and for making us leave the game
The update exposed every planet you own. Months of work have been put on display for anyone to destroy. Many are quitting due to the now almost unplayable state Better off finding another game.
